Wow looks like we had some epic storm not just across Derbyshire but the whole of the UK last night. The D-Paper would really love any images or videos you have of last nights storms, please email the to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like us to publish them.
On to the weather report, okay so the Met Office reports we'll have hot sunshine, but a risk of thunderstorms later. This morning and today early morning mist will clear to North Sea coasts leaving most places fine with hot sunshine quickly developing. This will spark some heavy showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon, especially in the west with torrential rain and hail possible. with a maximum temperature of 33 °C.
This evening and tonight, any thunderstorms will fade through the evening, leaving most places dry, warm and humid. Cloud and mist will push in from the North Sea for many. Minimum temperature 17 °C (hopefully a much cooler night so some of us can get some decent sleep).
The UV index is high, pollution Index is medium and the pollen index is high too so not a great day for people with breathing issues. There are no flood warnings currently in place across Derbyshire.
So overall another day for sun cream and umbrellas.
